Notes on the Shibaden 1/2" reel to reel... Shibaden had it’s own line of ½" reel-to-reel videotape recorders. It appears that they were never as popular as the Sony CV and later, the E.I.A.J. compatible machines. According to Shibaden catalog, there existed the following model #’s: SV-700UL, SV-800UL (with built in pop-up monitor), and the SV-707U battery powered camera/VTR system. Shibaden made an entire product line of cameras, sync generators, and monitors. A competitor to Sony.
